Chat with Santa Claus Online

How to chat with Santa Claus online

Type your message in the box above and Santa answers straight away — no download, no sign-up, and nothing to pay. Santa knows all about the North Pole, his elves, the reindeer and Christmas Eve, and he remembers what you tell him during the conversation, so you can introduce yourself and then ask him what he thinks of your Christmas wish.

Children usually ask how the reindeer fly, what Mrs. Claus is baking, whether they made the Nice List this year, and how Santa fits down the chimney. Santa replies in your language and always keeps it kind and child-friendly. When the chat is over, you can turn it into something to keep: a printable letter from Santa, a Nice List certificate, or a personalized video where Santa says your child's name out loud.

What kids talk about with Santa

Most children begin by telling Santa their name and age, and he keeps using their name as the conversation goes on. Then comes the wish list: Santa gets excited about each wish, asks why they want it and says the elves will note it in the big book. Kids also love testing him with questions like "are you real?" or "how old are you?", and Santa answers with a wink and a little story from the workshop rather than a lecture. His replies are short, a few sentences at most, so early readers can follow along.

Santa replies in the language your child writes in, so the same chat works in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and many other languages. Each message can be up to 500 characters, which is plenty for a child's question. After a set number of messages Santa has to get back to the workshop, and you can start a new chat whenever you like. He never promises that a particular present will arrive: he says he will do his very best and that parents help with the magic.

Santa stays in character and keeps every reply safe for a young child. He never asks for an address, phone number, school, passwords or payment details, and if a child offers them he simply changes the subject. He won't do homework or pretend to be anyone else, and if a child sounds worried or upset, he gently suggests talking to a parent or another grown-up they trust. When you want something to keep, Santa can also record a personalized video that says your child's name out loud. Families made 14,000+ Santa greetings last Christmas.
