How does the Santa tracker work?
Our Santa tracker follows Saint Nick's magical journey around the world on Christmas Eve. Santa always flies from east to west, starting near the international date line and visiting children as soon as they are asleep — usually between 9 pm and midnight local time. That's why the first stops are New Zealand and Australia, and the last ones are Alaska and Hawaii.
Unlike other trackers, ours also estimates when Santa will reach your own neighborhood, based on your time zone. And while you wait, Santa can do something no other tracker offers: send your child a personalized video message with their name, their city and their proudest moment of the year.
Santa's flight plan — when he arrives around the world
